THE WALKER-A-THON
People whom like to walk around Londonderry Mall are needed for the Seniors Assisted Transportation Society of Greater Edmonton (SATS) 6th Annual Walker-a-thonon Thursday March 01, 2012 from 8:00 to 9:30 am to support walking elderly whom use walkers and canes to get around and need specialized volunteer driving support of “door through door” help for safe rides for important appointments. SATS Walker-a-thon is a 1-2 km walk at Londonderry Mall near the Army and Navy store.A Special Gift bag from sponsors will be given to all walkers with pledge sheets along with a caricaturist’s picture, as part of Entertainment available for walkers along with a Silent Auction! Absolutely everyone is welcome to take part in keeping the elderly active and well!
For more information about Seniors Assisted Transportation Society of Greater Edmonton (SATS): It is an Edmonton region wide organization whose only purpose is to support elderly to stay independent living through the support of volunteer drivers.
